Carrie Burris, owner of the Colorado City Creamery has announced plans for a “30th Anniversary Birthday Bash” on Saturday, August 15, 2009.
“We have pulled out all the stops for this very special occasion,” said Burris. “Our family has owned the Colorado City Creamery for five years now, and we have tried hard to continue the tradition of a locally owned business featuring handmade ice cream served in a fun environment. To honor the Colorado City Creamery traditions, we have coined a new slogan, ‘Hometown, Handmade,’ which is a true reflection of what the Creamery is all about.”
The 30th Anniversary Birthday Bash will not only be a fun event, but also one that will help a very worthy cause, CHOA, Childhood Hematology Oncology Associates. From 11am-2pm on Saturday the 15th, Colorado City Creamery will donate 100% of its proceeds to CHOA; the rest of that day, in keeping with the “30th Anniversary Birthday Bash” theme, CHOA will receive 30% of all proceeds. CHOA nurses and staff will be “guest scoopers” throughout the day.
Other “Colorado City Creamery 30th Anniversary Birthday Bash” activities on Saturday, August 15 include:
-A live remote with the morning show team from 95.1 KCAT Cat Country FM from 11am-1pm. 95.1 Cat Country has been a big supporter of CHOA.
