Giving back to our military
U-Haul has also been honored four times by G.I. Jobs as one of the “Top 100 Military Friendly Employers.” As a Company founded by a military veteran, this recognition shows our ongoing dedication to our military servicemen and women.

“As we seek talented individuals to fill the many positions we have available, our veterans have the skills and desire needed to be successful,” proclaimed Ed Custodio, military field recruiter for U-Haul HR. “It is amazing to have a chain of command that supports our efforts for our veterans and the many team members who have done so much to support the ongoing veteran initiatives we are involved with.”

For U-Haul, supporting our troops includes being a part of a program like Army PaYS. This program helps soldiers find a quality job after separating from the military.

“All veterans who apply for our positions are given hiring priority,” Custodio stated. “Today, our total workforce consists of 12 percent who are veterans and have served our country. It is important that we, as an organization, continue to recognize what these men and women have done for us and the freedom we enjoy today."
