SET offers free child vaccination clinics

Safety Net Clinic: SET Family Medical Clinics offers FREE Children’s Immunizations

Colorado Springs, CO—SET Family Medical Clinics (SET), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides basic medical
services and holistic health programs to uninsured, under-insured, homeless and low income people without discrimination,
announces that they continue to offer free immunizations for children. The generous funding from The Colorado Trust makes it
possible for SET to offer 8 immunization clinics a year.

In 2009 SET became a part of the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program, which is a federally funded program that provides
vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay. SET’s immunization clinic is
for children ages 4 – 18 that are uninsured, Medicaid eligible, American Indian or Alaskan Native.
SET will offer free children’s immunizations on August 19th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at SET Family Medical Clinics located at 825 East Pikes Peak Avenue, Building 29. The immunizations are by appointment only. Call 719-776-8850 to make an appointment.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must have the child’s immunization records.
“SET Family Medical Clinics Immunization Clinic is very important to the Colorado Springs’ community as it works to decrease
preventable illness through the use of vaccines”, emphasizes Zelna Joseph, SET Family Medical Clinics, President and CEO.
SET Family Medical Clinics will provide assistance in enrolling children in the Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) which is a low-cost
health insurance program for Colorado’s uninsured children. CHP+ is for children whose parents earn too much to qualify for
Medicaid, but cannot afford private health insurance.
