ENT AWARDS 2010 YOUTH ENDOWMENT SERIES GRANTS TO ELEVEN PIKES PEAK REGION AGENCIES

Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 27, 2010) – Today, Ent Federal Credit Union awarded eleven regional organizations its Youth Endowment Series (YES) program grants for 2010.
The recipient agencies are:
· Big Brother/Big Sisters – Pikes Peak Region
· Child Nursery Centers
· Children’s ARK
· Colorado Springs Teen Court
· Fostering Hope Foundation
· Pikes Peak Community Action Agency
· Pikes Peak Prep
· Salvation Army
· Special Kids/Special Families
· TESSA
· Urban Peak Colorado Springs

Introduced in 2000, the YES program directs specific support to organizations benefiting children and young people in the Pikes Peak Region and in and around Pueblo, Denver and Weld Counties. The program has provided total grants of nearly $475,000 to agencies serving education, health care, and cultural needs, among other services.

Sixty Pikes Peak area non-profit (501(c)(3)) organizations applied for the 2010 grants; applications were evaluated on past and projected benefit to the community, potential ability to use the Ent grant to obtain additional funds and degree of current community support, among other criteria.
