33rd Annual President’s Day Hockey Tournament Returns to Colorado Springs February 11-15, 2010

Colorado Springs, Colo. – ( Colo Sprgs Covention and Visitors Bureau) – The Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey Association hosts the 33rd annual President’s Day Hockey Tournament February 11-15, 2010. The tournament is one of the largest and most successful tournaments of its kind held in North America. This USA Hockey sanctioned tournament will bring an economic impact of approximately $2.5 million to Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region.

Who: 80 amateur hockey teams from all over the United States and Canada.

What: 33rd Annual President’s Day Hockey Tournament.

Where: Games are being held at both rinks in the World Arena Ice Hall, Colorado College’s Honnen Arena, the World Arena, Cadet Ice Arena at the Air Force Academy, and Sertich Ice Center.

When: Opening Ceremonies will be held on February 11, 2010 at 6pm at the Colorado Springs World Arena. Games will be held each day from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Championship and consolation games will be held on Monday, February 15, and all games will be finished by 3:00 p.m. that day.

Why: One of the largest amateur hockey tournaments in the nation showcasing young talent.
