Recognized worldwide as one of the premier handbell ensembles in North America , Pikes Peak Ringers are releasing their sixth studio CD, "Classics," at our concerts in May. "Classics" will include “Dona Nobis Pacem,” PPR’s track with world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma that was released in December 2009 as part of Mr. Ma’s grammy-award-winning CD, “Songs of Joy and Peace.”
With an annual performance schedule that includes several local and out-of-state concerts, they have also been featured at national handbell events and on several promotional recordings, in addition to their own studio CDs, instructional DVD , and a live concert DVD of the world's first-ever classical concerto for handbells and orchestra.
Today, as a non-profit organization that includes two youth choirs, Pikes Peak Ringers continue to uphold McChesney's founding vision: to provide an outlet for advanced ringers in the greater Colorado Springs community, to teach others about handbells through workshops and other venues, and to create vivid performances that showcase the instrument of English handbells with the highest-quality presentation and musicianship.
