Free Music Workshops from the Pikes Peak Blues Community

The Pikes Peak Blues Community Presents

“OUR NEXT GENERATION”


When: April 25, 2009, 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Where: Hillside Community Center, 925 South Institute, Colorado Springs, CO 80903

What: Focuses on the musicians of tomorrow, Our Next Generation is a full day of free instruction and practice in composition, improvisation, vocal, and performance arts hosted by local, professional musicians and educators.

Who: Youth and adults who want to have fun, learn, and develop a passion for the unique traditions found in American improvisational music.

How: Concurrent sessions in vocal performance, songwriting, music theory, guitar, harmonica, bass, percussion, saxophone, piano and more will run throughout the day culminating in a group jam session, allowing students to practice what they’ve learned in a fun and forgiving environment.
