Benefit Concert for Joleen Bell

Sunday, March 16

2:30 p.m. - ???

Benet Hill Center

2577 N. Chelton Rd.

Music fans are asked to donate at least $15 - $50. More if you can afford it.

The Jim Adam Blues Band will be participating in a benefit concert this month for Colorado Springs musician, Joleen Bell. The band is scheduled to go on at 4:50 (this is a change on the time for the band)

A fabulous singer-songwriter and musician, Joleen has performed regionally as a solo act and with partner Phil Volan. Joleen has also performed with numerous other musicians at Under the Celtic Moon concerts and other events and is a true asset to Colorados musical community.

On Jan. 31, Joleens car was hit head-on by a drunk driver. She suffered a compound fracture of her left leg, as well as a broken collarbone, sternum and ribs. One of her lungs collapsed. Two of her children, Jon and Kalee, suffered less severe injuries, including a dislocated hip, sprained wrist, and cuts and bruises.

Joleen will be unable to walk, work and sing for some time.

So members of the acoustic music community -- including many of the top musicians along the Front Range -- are joining together at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 at Benet Hill Center to create some magic.

It will be a day of some of the very best acoustic music in the region, and it will help Joleen and her family pay medical bills and expenses while Joleen is unable to work.

The benefit promises to be a showcase of outstanding live acoustic music, including:

The Mitguards, Palmer Divide, Chuck Pyle, Jim Adam Blues Band, Phil Volan, Joe Uveges, Willson & McKee,
Lila Mori & Ken Miller, Adam Gardino, The Storys, Acoustic Eidolon, Ronnie Cook & Friends & Ceol Ceile.

For those who cant attend the benefit but still want to help, contributions can be made to a special fund for Joleen Bell, account #482449, at any Ent Federal Credit Union branch.

Please attend this important event if you are free on the 16th. Not only will it be a great day of music but also it will be a great help to Joleen and her family
