Networking Groups - PPWFC

December 14, 2007, Colorado Springs, CO – According to Quintessential Careers.com, “Networking is one of the most important -- if not the most important -- activities that job-seekers need to master to be truly successful in your job-search. Because the vast majority of job openings are never advertised, job-seekers need to have a network of contacts -- a career network -- that can provide support, information, and job leads.”

In January, the Pikes Peak Workforce Center (PPWFC) will offer the following networking groups, which are led by facilitators Steve Fehl, Monica Bryce, and Fred Gauna:

The Executive Networking Group meets Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to noon and is for those persons who have held senior management or executive level positions for an extended time, and who may be in need of specialized services. This group will be on January 7, 14 and 28. Please note that January 21 is a holiday and PPWFC will be closed.

The Professional Networking Group meets Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon and is for any individual seeking new employment. This group will met on January 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

The 50+ Networking Group meets Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon and is for people age 50 and over who are seeking employment. This group specializes in addressing issues facing older workers. This group will meet on January 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

The Veterans Networking Group meets the first, second and fourth Wednesday of each month is for veterans seeking employment, including active duty, retired and transitioning veterans. Please note there will be no meeting on January 2. This group will meet on January 9 and 23.

There is no charge to attend these networking groups. All groups meet at the PPWFC main office, 2306 East Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, 80909.
