Shelter Mutual Insurance Company has reached a major milestone. As of February 2009, Shelter Mutual has more than one million auto insurance policies in force.
Shelter was founded in 1946 to provide affordable auto insurance protection to Missourians. Today, Shelter Insurance® is a group of companies with two direct personal lines property and casualty companies, a reinsurance company, a life and annuity insurer, and a thrift bank.
