WHAT: Peak Vista Community Health Centers fourth annual
“Breakfast of Champions”
WHEN: Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 7:30-9:00 AM
WHERE: The Broadmoor, International Center
WHY: Peak Vista Community Health Centers hosts this fourth annual event as a benefit for working families in El Paso and Teller counties who have no health insurance. Established in 1971 as the Free Clinic staffed by volunteers, Peak Vista today employs more than 400 staff who provide primary medical care and dental services to more than 53,000 patients each year who would otherwise have no where else to turn for care. The estimate is that this is about half of those in need in the Pikes Peak region. The need is so great that the event was developed to generate funds, create awareness of Peak Vista’s programs and services, and recognize the many physicians, dentists, boards of directors and other champions who support Peak Vista centers. The 2008 Champion of Community Health, the Myron Stratton Home, will also be honored.
KEYNOTE: Picabo Street , Olympic Gold Medalist in alpine skiing, will provide the keynote address.
